Getting Ready

Posted on 12/17/2009 | By Coach Tonya K. | In , ,

It is the first day that I am taking to embrace healing. As a life coach, minister and counselor, I am often giving so much of myself to others. So much so, that I have forgotten to take time for me. Often I am assisting others with planning and balancing their lives, including plans for weight loss and healing. However, I looked at myself and realized who was going to coach me to my success. I then realized that I would have to take time out and remember to work on myself as well.

You see we are all on a healing journey. Whether it is healing from past pains or present diseases, we have to each remember that we are human and are allowed to be so. I didn't wake up one day and my weight and health were depleted. No, I just AWOKE one day and realized I had to take control and do something about it. I had lost so much weight a few years back and was beginning to feel the change. Then I experienced several stresses in my life. Add to that the fact that I began working from home and taking online college courses. Earlier this year I moved to the Mid-West, flat land. I do not know anyone here and have found myself living like a hermit. I never thought I would miss the trees and hills found in New York and Georgia. I have lived here for over nine months and have yet to meet anyone new, outside of business.

I have not been eco-conscious since moving from the East. My skin has become dry, and blotchy and my behind and hips have spread. But, you know what excuses aside only I can save myself. No need to think on what is negative in where I am, but concentrate on what is positive. The positive is I have life, I have a computer and can order the items I can not find at the local market (for healthy eating). I was born by myself and can put my mp3 player on my ears and work up a power-walk sweat. I have a yoga mat and I can do stretches, poses and whatever else I feel like doing. I have music and I can put it on and shake what my momma gave me.

It is time to stop the B.S. and excuses. Spirit gave me this motto last week and it has stuck with me: Don't just talk about it. But, be about it.

What am I getting ready for. I am getting ready for deliverance!

Healing Blessings,
Tonya
